The oldest of 4 siblings, I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago. When I was 6 years old, my father started a newspaper publishing business in our basement and over the years it grew to 5 suburban papers. My first job was working on the real estate classified and open house ads for my dad’s papers. When I was 12, my folks were building a new house and I was totally enthralled and absorbed in the design and construction of the property. As I got older and fell in love with architecture and design, I began going to Sunday Open Houses just to see the properties!
I moved to California in the late 1970’s and to Marin in 1992. My two children grew-up here, were very active in school, music and sports. My oldest has graduated from college and my youngest is a senior at UC Santa Cruz.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Education with a minor in Botany from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. I taught elementary school and then went back to school to become a Paralegal. I worked in Marin County Family Law firms for 11 years, working both in litigation and in mediation practices. Becoming a Real Estate Collaborative specialist in divorce (RCS-DTM) combined my love of real estate, my love of the law and wanting to help those going thru difficult life transitions (as I once had).
